Alawyer who usually wore quite one kg of gold got lured into earning Rs 2,500 for a selfie and paid together with his life. Narayan Singh was found murdered near a pond in Sojat town in Pali district on Thursday.
A resident of Bilara in Jodhpur district, Narayan Singh went missing on May 28. His body was found buried near a pond in Sojat town in Pali district. His hands and feet were tied. His car was also found burnt a touch faraway from the spot where his body was found.
The postmortem report revealed he was strangulated to death.
Sojat Police arrested three persons on Saturday in reference to the murder of Narayan Singh, a prominent lawyer, and stealing the gold he had been wearing.
The suspects -- Umesh Soni, Prabhu Patel and Arjun Dewasi -- had allegedly killed Narayan Singh to rob the gold he had been wearing.
The three had called Narayan Singh on Friday, saying someone wanted to require a selfie with him and was willing to pay Rs 2,500 for it.
Narayan Singh dressed up in his usual attire, wore gold weighing 940 grams and 250 grams and another ornament weighing 140 grams, and left with the three in his car.
A little while, the three strangulated him to death, removed the gold, and buried his body before setting the car ablaze , police said.
