New records of Corona recorded in 24 hours in the country, more than 7,000 people dead so far

New Delhi: Corona virus (Kovid 19) infection cases are increasing day by day in the country and 9983 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours while 206 more people died in the same period. According to data released on Monday by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of corona infected in the country has increased to 2,56,611, while 7135 people have died due to the disease. 

The country currently has 1,25,381 active cases of corona, while 1,24,095 people have managed to get rid of this epidemic. Maharashtra has been the most affected in the country by this epidemic. In the last 24 hours, 3007 new cases have been registered in the state and 91 people have died, with which the total number of people affected by this in the state has increased to 85,975 and the number of people who have died from this deadly virus has increased to 3060. During this time, 1924 people have become disease-free in the state, which has brought the total number of healthy people to 39,314.     

Indeed, India has overtaken Spain to become the fifth country in the world badly hit by the Kovid-19 global epidemic. Now, only America, Brazil, Russia and Britain are above that. The Indian Council of Medical Sciences (ICMR) has further enhanced the investigative capability to detect the infected. Now, Kovid-19 testing facility has been provided in 531 government laboratories and 228 private laboratories. Thus Kovid-19 is being tested in a total of 759 laboratories in the country. According to the ministry, 1,42,069 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours. 

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) the number of deaths (0.49 deaths) per one lakh population in India is very low while the global average is 5.17 deaths per one lakh population. India also has fewer deaths per 100,000 population than Germany (10.35), Italy (55.78), Britain (59.62) and Spain (58.06). The number of Kovid-19 positive cases per 100,000 population in India is 17.32 while the global average is 87.74. The proportion of population in India is less than that of countries which have relaxed the lockdown.
