Computer Baba protests against killing of sadhus in Bulandshahar and Palghar, demands urgent action

Self-styled godman Computer Baba aka Namdev Das Tyagi, who was accorded minister of state status in 2018 by the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh, has started a protest against the killing of sadhus in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahar and Maharashtras’s Palghar.

To protest against Bulandshahar and Palghar killings, Computer Baba sits on a dawn to dusk protest outside his ashram in Indore with an ember-filled earthern pot on his head.

The self-styled godman has demanded immediate action against those liable for the killing of two sadhus in Bulandshahar and therefore the lynching of three in Palghar.

Speaking to India Today on phone, Computer Baba said, “Saints are killed in Bulandshahar and lynched in Palghar. This protest is to hunt justice for them. Sadhus are dying of hunger. I urge the Prime Minister to require care of them.”

Taking a dig at the Yogi Aditya Nath government in Uttar Pradesh , Computer Baba said, “The government in Uttar Pradesh is led by a person in saffron. i would like to ask him is that this Ram Rajya or Ravan Rajya.” Why are saints being killed like this?” he asked.

Computer Baba, who claims to possess a computer-like brain, he was given a cupboard rank status within the BJP government led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He was appointed to a five-member committee of godmen to suggest ways to enhance the Narmada catchment in April, 2018.

Later, the Kamal Nath government made Computer baba the chairman of a state-run trust within the run up to the Lok Sabha elections
