New Delhi. Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Friday apologized to President Draupadi Murmu for his objectionable remarks. The Congress leader had addressed President Draupadi Murmu as the wife of the nation. After which the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused the Congress of being anti-tribal. At the same time, the ruling party said that an apology should be made to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi in this matter.

Adhir Ranjan apologized by writing a letter to the President. He wrote in the letter that I assure you that this happened due to a slip of tongue. I apologize and request you to accept it. Along with this, the Congress leader has sought time to meet the President on Saturday.

Earlier, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, while targeting the BJP for the objectionable remark, had said that my tongue accidentally got the national wife, I accepted my mistake ... What do they say about Sonia Gandhi during the election? What about Shashi Tharoor's wife and Renuka Chaudhary? I asked the President for time, I will talk to him and apologize.

Sonia Gandhi should apologize

Adhir Ranjan's remark was attacked by the BJP by holding a press conference. Apart from this, BJP leaders are constantly targeting Sonia Gandhi and the Congress party. BJP leader Dr. Bharti Praveen Pawar had said that once again the anti-tribal and anti-women mentality of Congress has come to the fore. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has made derogatory remarks toward the country's first tribal woman President. This has hurt the dignity of our country, constitution, women, and tribal society.

She had said that I want to tell Congress whether tribals do not have any rights in our country. We want to ask those who insult like this, to take care of the dignity of the presidency. Sonia Gandhi Ji should apologize for this act.
