Study claims: Remedissiver drug reduces corona virus effect in langurs

Washington: A new study has found that the antivirus drug 'RemedySiver' reduces the amount of virus in langurs infected with SARS-COV-2 and does not allow them to get lung disease. The study published on Tuesday in the journal Nature said that giving this medicine to the patients of Corona virus in the beginning does not cause pneumonia. Researchers at the US National Institutes of Health found that the scope of the remedieserver was quite wide and proved to be very effective in preventing infection with SARS-COV and Merc-COV in animals.

He informed that the drug is being tested in corona virus infected patients. Researcher Amy de Wit and her colleagues studied the effects of the remedieserver on an older species of monkeys and found that the langurs given this drug did not have symptoms of respiratory disease and also caused less damage to their lungs. Researchers said that the use of this drug early in corona virus-infected patients could make treatment effective.
