Due to the rains, the problems in the city increased due to water logging in the faces of the farmers

On Friday afternoon, the monsoon rain rained heavily. It was raining intermittently for the last three days. Even on Friday, people were troubled by the sun and humidity till noon. In the afternoon the weather suddenly took a turn. The farmers waiting for the rain have gotten relief due to heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms. At the same time, people had to face trouble due to water logging on the main roads and markets of the city due to heavy rains. Till Monday, the percentage of paddy planting was only 43 percent in the district. With three days of rain, the planting has increased by seven percent to 53. With the onset of rain, farmers started planting paddy in the fields. Farmers told that due to lack of rain, they were planting paddy by purchasing diesel at expensive rates. The rain on Friday has brought relief to a great extent. The water which is burning in the hot sun has also benefited from the water. The health of makhana and jute cultivation is also expected to improve to some extent. However, Makhana farmers said that their crop has already been ruined due to a lack of sunlight and water. Due to rain, the cost price will also be hardly able to rise. Let us tell you that due to the lack of monsoon rains, a drought-like situation has arisen. Jhajjam rain has worked to heal it to some extent. Monsoon rains were fierce on Friday in various blocks including Kadwa, Falka, and Azamnagar.

Water logging on city roads

Due to the heavy rains, people had to face difficulties in movement due to water logging in the streets and markets of the city. The pole of the municipal drainage system has been exposed once again. The lake was seen from water logging at MG Road, New Market, Hospital Road, Mirchaibari, Golchha Katra Chowk, Pani Tank Chowk, Bada Bazar, and other places. Recently, the work of clearing the main drains in the urban area was done by the Municipal Corporation, but the situation was undone within a day's rain.
